ACSA

ACSA or the American Council of Snowmobile Associations was established and incorporated in 1995. The offices are located in Lansing, Michigan.

The mission of ACSA is to provide leadership and to advance the efforts of all organizations to promote responsible snowmobiling in the United States. ACSA's counterpart in Canada is the Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations, the CCSO. Together they form the International Snowmobile Council and hold an annual International Snowmobile Congress.

ACSA represents all statewide snowmobile associations within the 25 states that have snowmobile programs. ACSA provides numerous member services as well as coordinating snowmobile safety, standards, engineering and certification within the snowmobile manufacturing process. Public information about snowmobiling, as well as government relations are also paramount duties of ACSA.

ACSA's biggest challenge is to assist state associations and local clubs to ensure long term access to public and private lands for snowmobiling. ACSA provides all of the above by providing qualified, unified leadership for our snowmobile community.

ISMA

ISMA or the International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association is headquartered in Haslett, Michigan. The purpose of ISMA is to present a united front for all snowmobile manufacturers. The current members of ISMA include: Arctic Cat, Bombardier Ski-doo, Polaris and Yamaha.

ISMA is headed by a president who's charge it is to coordinate safety efforts for the manufacturers as well as representing them with a united front on issues such as pollution, noise, and land closures - just to name a few.

ISMA's "Safe Riders" program is one of many programs that has been developed by them. All materials for ISMA programs are provided at no cost to state associations or local clubs. ISMA also provides at no charge, snowmobile public service announcements, both audio and video, to state associations for use in promoting snowmobiling in their area.
